Gluten Free Pancakes

Not much to say for this one, it’s pancakes folks who doesn’t love em?

We took the early morning classic, pumped up the protein content with our favourite brand Profi ProFIT and made them gluten free for all those with digestive issues (you’re welcome).

Light & fluffy, topped with a chocolate-maple syrup and frozen berries, these pancakes are the perfect way to start off your Saturday morning.


RECIPE: Makes 4 Pancakes.



Gluten Free Pancakes

  • 1 cup Rolled Oats (3/4c blended to a flour, 1/4 cup left whole)
  • 1 scoop Profi PROFIT chocolate protein powder
  • 3/4 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Ground Flax Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Maple Syrup
  • optional: 1 tbsp Hemp Hearts, 1/2 tsp Maca Powder

5 minutes prep time, 10 minutes to fry.

  • Blend 3/4 cup of the oats into a fine powder, leaving 1/4 cup of the oats whole.
  • Add all of your dry ingredients to a bowl and mix to combine.
  • Add your wet ingredients and wait a minute or two to allow the vinegar and the almond milk to make a vegan “buttermilk”.
  • Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until a wet batter forms
  • The batter may gelatinize a bit, as the oats and flax absorb the water, this is fine and will help your pancakes stick together when frying.
  • Fry 1/4 cup of the batter on a non-stick skillet on medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the pancake is golden and fluffy.
  • Repeat until you’re out of batter and top with frozen berries, raw cacao nibs, and our chocolate-maple syrup!
  • Enjoy!

Chocolate-Maple Syrup

  • 1/4 cup Raw Cacao Powder
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • pinch of salt

1 minute prep time, 5 minutes to reduce.

  • Add all the ingredients into a sauce pan on medium heat.
  • Allow the mixture to come to a boil and stir frequently until it has reduced down to a thicker syrup.
  • Serve hot over your stack of pancakes.
